About

Established in 2013 CCÉ Port Mearnóg is a branch of  Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann located in the seaside village of Portmarnock, North County Dublin. Our aim is to introduce Irish traditional music, singing and dance to the children and adults of the local area by way of classes and sessions. The branch has grown rapidly and currently has 80 juniors and 50 adult members. Classes are offered in Flute, Whistle, Box Accordian, Piano Accordian, Concertina, Fiddle, Harp, Traditional Piano, Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, Bodhrán. Classes are open to anybody from 6 to 106 !  We are building an extensive instrument bank which are available to loan to our students.

Activities

  • Classes held on a monday night from 5 to 8pm
  • Junior Summer Camp  for a week during July
  • Adult Workshops during the evenings of Summer Camp Week
  • Trips  to other Comhltas Branches
  • Adult Grúpaí Ceoil Traditional orchestra
  • Fleadh Ceoil Students are encouraged to participate in the Dublin Fleadh
